At this moment in time, when it is so hard to get donations and our client needs continue to grow. Out of the blue, the Petco Foundation came through for us with this, once per year “EXTRAORDINARY GIFT GRANT” in the amount of $55,000 to be used to purchase a medium sized box truck. This truck purchase will save us close to $1000 per month in transportation expenses which we will now use that money for pet food.
The process for receiving this gift is not easy as it is open to all not profit organizations throughout the Country and I can only guess that there are hundreds if not thousands of applicants.

Pet Project is very fortunate to have been selected. We are so grateful to the Petco Foundation for this tremendous gift.
A large part of the process is based on a relationship with a local Petco store. We have had an ongoing relationship with this Petco store. For years we have had a table doing community outreach and we are part of Petco’s fund raising efforts for nonprofits. This Petco store includes us on all they do for pets with local charities. At this time, I want to personally Thank Rick Fusten, the manger here at Petco and his associates for supporting Pet Project for pets because without their support this gift would not be possible.

I will end this with a Thank you again to the Petco Foundation, Rick Fusten and his staff here at our local Petco store and say that together we will continue our mission to help all animals receive the help they need to live a good quality of life.

Thank you from Pet Project for Pets
